It’s mostly CDs, DVDs, and UFA photo cards. You can look at it all on this page. Money earned will be used towards me buying more stuff like this.
It’s MLK Day here, so what better way to celebrate on an idol blog than to show not only a meeting of different races, but whole different cultures and celebrity markets?
I’ve had this urge to do a Johnny’s Ranker the way I’ve done various H!P-related rankers… and tonight, I got around to it. You’ll find it under the Wota Distractions, along with all the other time-wasters I’ve happily provided. (And there’s much more to come, I assure you.)
While I’m as pleased as everyone else that Berryz Koubo will be covering the German seventies group Dschinghis Khan, I think they could have made some better choices if they’re going with European pop. Right off the top of my head, here’s some other songs that would sound great for my second favorite unit of H!P Kids:
Before I begin my 2007 Top Ten PV list, I want to get some long-unfinished business out of the way. I did a Top 10 PV list for 2005, which I enjoyed. I intended to do a Top 10 PV list for 2006… and never got around to it. I had the list made up, I had notes for each entry, but being a new daddy kind of got in the way time and again. I could skip it, but I want a sense of continuation from year-to-year with these lists, a sense of how preferences develop, how favorite artists fare over time. So, here is that list and some highly-truncated explanations:
As unfortunate as this year’s Kouhaku performance was for Hello! Project, was it all that different from the treatment they’ve been receiving at this event in recent years?
For a while now, H!P has had to clump together various units under the guise of a medley just to get them in Kouhaku in the first place. W and Def. Diva immediately come to mind, and they had the advantage of featuring Musumes the general public recognizes, which the H!P Kids don’t. It would have been much more surprising - albeit more satisfying for fans - if C-ute and Berryz Koubo each received their own slot. It would have meant that they were recognized by Kouhaku as distinct groups with their own value, and not just the backup dancers and metaphorical little sisters of Morning Musume. That just hasn’t happened yet.
Christmas is upon us, and that can mean only one thing: an appreciation of pedoliciousness!

“Ai no Tane”: Right from the beginning, Morning Musume had members who were barely in their teens - but it took them a while to get members barely in their teens whose appeal came from being barely in their teens. That is, the road to pedoliciousness was not an easy or immediate one to take.
